Facebook???
I have always been leary of online social networking (email doesn't count). I really am kind of a private person, and not sure if I want the world to have access to me personally. I have also heard of many who use facebook as their own forum to bash family and friends, etc and that really sends me sailing!!!! My close friends and family have been urging me to go on Facebook,(except for my Jessica), but I still have had a hard time budging. I thought a blog was a stretch for me! Then I learned that a really close friend of mine shared wonderful news on facebook and I had to hear it second hand. Is this a sign? I don't know....I am still thinking about it.

Aahhh...same thing here! I miss out on so much not being on facebook. I feel so out of the loop! I just don't know. I guess you could always try it and if you decide you don't like it, take yourself off.
ReplyDeleteAnge, you can make it private so no one can see anything on your profile except your friends. If you get random friend requests from a guy in Nigeria you just click the ignore button. It really is fun because never in my right mind did I think I would be back in contact with literally everyone from HS, and this generation has made it happen. You can always permanently ignore people whose status updates you may find bashing and what not and then you never see them. Seriously, so many people from our Arrowhead Ward are on it like Karen Webb, Hilma Stratford, Mom, who by the way has gotten connected with many people from years ago. You seriously can control a lot more than you think. Some people make theirs completely public, and you can make yours private. Do what Geri says, you can try it and if you don't like it then just delete your profile. That's my two sense. Many people even do a joint one like "Kyle and Gerilyn" hint hint Geri
ReplyDeleteYou should do it! I have never been "bashed," but it is a lot of fun to talk to friends on it that I wouldn't have found otherwise. In fact, I found out a friend from high school has a little girl that I teach at the elementary school because of facebook. haha
ReplyDeletePs how did you become so blog savvy?? I can't figure out how to change my background and Lindsay has even showed me!
